Overview
Proximity voice chat is part of the design, not an afterthought. It is a coordination tool and an information leak in the same feature.
What it is good for
Coordinating with strangers from your own faction who happen to be holding the same building. Most of the useful cooperation in a public match starts this way.
What it costs you
Enemies close enough to matter can hear you. Callouts near the Hot Zone are a genuine operational security problem.
Deliberate use
It can also be used to bait or mislead. Assume the same is being done to you.
