Countering monument campers

Overview

Monument camping works because the route is predictable. The counter is to be less predictable than the route.

Clear before you commit

Never flip a timer switch with scientists alive or a rooftop unchecked. The timer removes your ability to be patient, which is exactly what a camper is counting on.

Know a second exit

Every monument with a puzzle has more than one way out. Airfield has multiple tunnel exits, Military Tunnels has the mine, Launch Site has the perimeter and the rail line. Leaving by the door you entered is the single most commonly punished habit.

Use the cameras

The Missile Silo and several other monuments have CCTV screens covering their approaches. Reading them before you surface is free information.

Wipe-day timing changed

Monument blockers mean the first fights at red rooms now happen around whoever brings the explosives. If you are not the group paying, arrive after them rather than with them.
